An evening to remember for life.....
24th Sept. 2009.... Now what is so special about this date.. My posting will give u a better picture about it.. THE BIG PICTURE!!!!
As usual I left office at 6 in the evening with my colleague... Got into a majestic bus & reached by 6:30 ....Wow nothin great at all...I just got into another bus and it started drizzling.. Drizzling only right... Now who on earth knew that this drizzle would not be a drizzle in a few minutes time...
I sat in the bus and plugged in my i - pod.... By then it had started a little more to pour.....I closed the window.... The bus started but never bothered moving an inch.... I took out a book to read but realised the light is so blinding that I didn't want to risk my eyes.. ( There was hardly any light in the bus... pun intended there.....)
I dozed off for a few splendid minutes... Opened my eyes to see I have hardly moved a few inches....I am still in majestic itself.... Now what the hell was happening.... By then the rain had started pouring away.... In a few minutes, the water would be seeping in.... Well, that is exactly the comfort of public transport.... Rain, won't go in vain...
I pulled a packet of something I had and ate that also... But still the bus was not even crawling a few cms....I again dozed off...After another few moments I opened ny eyes to see in a totally different route... Now panic is not in my blood.... I just poked this lass next to me and confirmed I'm in the right bus.... By then it was almost an hour and a half in the bus and I had not even covered quarter of my journey... It seemed endless today... I was beginning to get restles....
Obviously right??? Who wants to travel endlessly that too on a local tour which takes place everyday.....
By then my friends & parents had pressed on their panic buttons which indicates Me, and had frantically called me loads of times....I had patiently repeated the same place even after a long time.....
Now it was alreay 8:30 and God knows how long I was going to take before I reach home... I had reached lalbagh by then... N Oh My God!!!!!! It looked like a mega pool.... Flood looked too near now.....I was really agitated by now, but there was nothing much I could do...Just sat and waited....
Al last I reached Ashoka Pillar by 9:oo.... A solid three hours in the awful rain and pathetic bus.....
From ther reached home by 9:45 P:M.....
One helluva of a journey it was.....
