LEND A VOICE

I have always wondered how is would be to lend your voice and listen to it. I used to be wonder how it would be to be a News Reader or an Anchor or a R.J...Well, I never in my wildest dreams expected that this pleasant an opportunity would knock at my door some day..... It was a Saturday. Saturdays are usually off from work. Its weekend time. But on 20.02.2010, it was one of those ABnormal days when we were working. Yes, just imagine.. Saturday and you are working. Oh Freak!!!It's tough to imagine also for those who aren't accustomed to working at the weekends. Nevertheless, I was working and that was just not nice. We had just finished food in the afternoon. (The best part is food on the house when we work on Saturdays.....) My colleague comes up to me and he is like, 'Would you want to record for me'?? RECORD.. Now did I get that work right.. Yes, I think I did. I would love to do recording. (For those extra brilliant mind's, recording is done as a part of Marketing collateral's to put extra info up on the website. I was more than happy to grab this wonderful opportunity which I was waiting for. Saturday afternoon my recording started. I had to read out case studies in nine different sectors to be uploaded on our website. I started off with the first one, which was on BI in Customer Service. Man, it was a good one at the first shot. Ain't I on cloud nine. You bet!!! I AM....IN THE SEVENTH HEAVEN. After I had finished, I started off with another one. It was some beautiful. I just loved it. I finished three of them and we wound up for the day. I was all smiles. When you actually listen to your own voice once it is recorded, it never sounds like it is yours. I was like, 'Is this my voice????'. Indeed it sounds so different. Over the next three days, I completed the rest of the cases and when I was done, my joy knew no bounds. I felt this strange sense of accomplishment. For me, it was like winning an Oscar. And this was possible only because of my colleague BINGO. Thanks BINGO. You made it come true for me.... P.S.: People do listen to it and let me know how I sound. I will send you guys the link sometime later.

HEARTFELT GRATITUDE

This blog goes out to "Ms. KELLY". ( For those of you who don not know, please read FRIENDS FROM AMES, its a must read for all.)

I had posted a blog named EPITOME OF FRIENDSHIP sometime back. I'm sure most of you would have read it.
What is special about this blog is, it has a comment posted by one of the AMES GIRLS!!! YES YOU GOT IT RIGHT.. KELLY is one of the ten AMES GIRLS who has been so sweet and nice to read my blog and post a comment.

Not many of my own friends who read my blogs, post a comment this honestly. They ping me online saying my blog was good or it was not. (Shame on you guys!!!)
Kelly has been so courteous to leave a comment, that it touched my heart.

Thanks a ton KELLY. I feel so proud to flaunt my blogs all the more now.

P.S: This blog is written to say THANK U KELLY... You made my day or should I say , " YOU MADE MY BLOG!!!!

COVER O MAN

I think I'm getting very sporadic with my postings these days. Till one of friend's doesn't ask me as to why I haven't posted a blog, I don't bother.. Well, I will post more often from now on.. This is yet another incident of mine.. Well, I know MONOTONY is setting in among my readers, but I promise the next one will be different. This incident just happened yesterday and I couldn't stop myself from posting another blog. My colleague wanted to withdraw money from the ATM. (Not Ramya guys!!!) It was mid afternoon. Looks like Summer has set in. We were walking down the road, grumbling about the HEAT. It indeed was scorching HOT. We went to the ATM, but in vain. It was not working. So, we were walking back and I had covered my head with my dupatta ( Yes people, I'm celebrating SALWAR SUIT WEEK!!!!). I was trying to wrap it correctly, so I pulled it out ans spread it properly walking down the road. To my utter shock I realized that I had covered another old man's head who was walking next to me. No wonder I had 2 heads all of a sudden. (Fancy me, in a jiffy I've grown an extra head). Well, I silently apologized to that elderly man and walked away without looking back!!!!! P.S : Moral - I should never wear Salwar suits again!!!

PHONE 'e BRAIN

This blog is dedicated to PADDY, for making me post yet another blog.

Paddy (I'm sure if you've read my previous blog, you'll know this guy) and myself usually chat a wee bit from office so as take a break from work. We chat or call once a while at work.
On 29th, Jan as well we were chatting for sometime. Post lunch session and Friday afternoon, now I'm sure most of you'll agree that the mood swings are high, but not to work but to party out.

Paddy on Friday was out for a Team lunch and didn't come back until 3 in the afternoon. Then he came around 3:30 and pinged me. After a while he stopped again. So I tried giving him a call, but he didn't receiver my call. I thought he must be busy with work and I got busy too.(It was one of my close colleague's last working day).

After a while I got a call from Paddy. I as usual picked it up with high enthu (Usual HIIIIIIIIIIIIIII PADDYYYYYYYYYYYYY which continues for at least a min ---poor guy)
I did the same, but the response I got from the other end was very different. Here it goes,

PADDY CALLING....
Me: HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII PADDYYYYYYYYYY
Other Side: Hello
Me: Kya hua Paddy (What happened Paddy?)
Other side: Hi, this is Prasad here..
Me: Oh hooo.....(I look at my phone, it shows Paddy, now what the hell happened)
This is Prabhat's (Paddy's forgotten real name to me) number.
Other side: Ma'am he has left his phone in the meeting room and gone.
Me: Oh okie. He is.......(I tell him in which domain he works)
Other side: I will return it back Ma'am. Thank you so much
Me: That's ok.

And he hangs up.

Now my great pal PADDY in the mean while is pinging me and totally unaware about his lost phone.
Fianlly he got his phone back and ALL THANKS TO ME!!!

P.S: Paddy I'm sure you'll agree.... right???
