TECH 'NO' LOGY

I know I'm posting something after a long time...

Each day I goto work, now what's so new about it??? All of us work, and I am the same too...

But this new work place of mine was a wee bit different from my previous workplace...

Read on to know why...

Everyay, I walk in to work, I need to swipe in. Now, swiping in has become a habit...Anythin done over a period of time becomes a HABIt.. (I hope all agree to agree...)

So my brain is tuned to swiping in...

All of a sudden, new work place.. Everything is new... Definitely the brain needs to be re - programmed, which takes a litlle longer to sink in...

This new work place of mine has BIOMETRIC access.... I'm sure all of you know what that means....Finger Impression.....

I had got my new access in the morning...I very smartly used it...

6:16 P:M, brain would for sure have stopped working.. It's working from 6 in the morning....

I happily walked out of office, as the door was open..

After a while I realized, TECh No LOGY!!!!

DESTINATION SPLENDID

Atlast D Day had arrived after a lot of debating back and forth. The place was finalized but the problem ahd been the DATE. In all contexts, I guess date plays an enormously significant role(Agree to agree or agree to disagree). Finally it was decided 14th Nov. '09. Yes, Children's day.

Destination: Sangama

Date: 14th Nov.

Travel: A Pleasure

Accompany: Family on board

Now read on to know about this trip.

8:15 A:.M --> My mum and me waiting at our pick up point. For all our luck, it was raining that day and was super chill. Me as usalu packed like an Eskimo, mum as usual, dare to face the cold types. Our pick up was scheduled between 8:15 to 8:30 A:M. But little did i know that meant a long wait....

8:30 A:M --> Frantically I'm pacing in front of the petrol bunk... Damn, why hasn't this bus come???? I see no sign of it....

8:45 A:M --> My phone beeps with a message from my colleague that the bus hasn't started from office yet. Wow!!! Office is like an hour's journey from my pick point minus the traffic and peak hour jams.

9:00 A:M --> I sigh and sit on some stone. Shit man, don't they have anything called time sense... Or all their clocks frozen. Gosh, it's so darned cold...

9:15 A:M --> My cribbin knew no bounds. My mum has oodles of patience, I don't even have an iota of it and damn who the hell likes waiting.. Not even for my hubby would I wait I guess....(Or you never know...:)

9:30 A:M --> Still no sign. I pulled out a Kit - Kat and passed it on to my mum. Both of us were experiencing butterflies of different versions inside our tummies....

9:45 A:M --> Is the bus ever going to arrive?? My mum was also kind off getting irky by now... It was almost an hour and a half and still there was no sign....

10:00 A:M --> Finally after walking a few mts away, we boarded the bus....I mean it was awesome. The leg space was unbeleivable. I could stretch my legs without an obstacle.....It felt so good getting a bus for a long distance travel which I never do....

10:05 A:M --> My colleague had reserved our seats. I sat next to her and mum on the other side....Atlast we had started...

11:30 A:M --> There were African Elephants in all our tummies...Finally they stopped at this brilliant place which was a temple - cum - park. There was Lord Krishna, Lord Ganesh & Lord Hanuman. Huge structures of these God's were erected and it was brilliant. It was splendid a place. There was this rally cute stray duck next to me. It was so cute. Finallly, after my photo session (My new interest these days is Photography, so was honing my just acquired nascent skills......), I finished my breakfast which consisted of my FAV - UPMA and other not so interesting things.

1:00 P:M --> We finally reached our destination and got dwon form our buses.

1:05 P;M --> Here comes the ultimate touch.. We are supposed to cross the water and how are we doing it?? We have to sit in something called a "THEPPA"...Man, it was ht first n one of it'd kind experience for both my mum and I. We finally managed to get into the wobbly thing and sat. There was 3 more people along with us. The guy with his oar started rowing. It was such a mind blowing feeling. I think everyone should try this old age-modern adaptation technique, it feels over the top.

1:07 P:M --> The so called rotating tranformer brought us near the rocks, from there we had to wade in water. The water was till my knee level. We all took out our shoes and started walking in water. That is when it dawned on me that I have this mistaken notion that I walk fast. the actual test is I guess when you walk in water. I feel I'm walking but I'm still there itself...There I see my mum walkin as if its a paved road....

1:10 P:M --> I finally reached the shore types... From there we trekked a wee bit and reached a flat surface. We spread our mats there and arranged food... We started playing games....

3:00 P:M --> Smashing food was served. We were all ravenous. Had a great time eating.

4:00 P:M --> We had some official game.

4:15 P:M --> Headed back to water and played. Landed up collecting pretty shells.

5:15 P:M --> Back in the THEPPA.... It felt so good again....

6:00 P:M --> We boarded the bus ad took our respective seats. Started on our journey back..

9:00 P:M --> Alighted the bus and started home.

This was the most amazing official trip I had been too. The memories are worth a lifetime....

MIS - PASS

After a long time, here I come again... Seems ages since I blogged....At last I finally thought of something to be posting out here...

Sunday, I had some work so ventured out to Indiranagar. Usually the public tranports are pretty empty unlike weekdays. You can actually manage to sit too...

I left home as I was running a little late, got into a bus. The bus was empty, so found a seat to sit. Had an unfinished book in hand so started. I got down one stop before my stop and started walking. After a few seconds I realised I was a stop behind mine. Walked up the distance to were I was actually supposed to board the next bus. I waited a while before I could get my next bus.

I hopped into my next bus, which was way too empty by tis regular weekdays standards. I sat in the seat and I saw a conductor standing there so I said Pass.... But that guy just nodded his head as if he could care less... I was taken aback a wee bit, neverthless I continued reading my book....After a few seconds, I see another conductor asking me... I was so zapped that I had happily told somebody else when the actual conductor was asking now....

I couldn't help but laugh.......

OUT OF SIGHT

It's been a really long time since I posted a blog... Here I come after a long time....

Two of my best colleagues at work quit...Now what is there to post a blog on that... Read on...

One of colleagues had joined after I had joined work...She was wee bit a fresher.. Ramya and me got close to this chik.. She seemed pretty sweet and nice...We got freindly with her and she got close to us..So the three of us used to literally freak out at work.. It used to be great fun...

It so happened that we I fondly started callin the newer of my colleagues CAT.. She used to remind me typically of a CAT...I told Ramya that observe her closely and she resembles a cat so much.. And the best part was even she started feeling she looked like a cat...Now isnt that great.. Two feeling the same is much better than one.. Cat's facial expressions were similar to a real cat..

After that sometime another colleague of mine started feeling that she looks like a cat.. Cat used to kinda get so buuged that all beacuse of me people feel she looks like a cat but she used to be very sportive.....Taking it ay her stride types...

The best part was yesterday was her last day.. When she was leaving in the eveing, my H.R was talkin ot her and all of a sudden she says , "Oh My God, You so look like a CAT"!!!!!

Well, well , well no comments......

ZEAL TAMPERED

The world seems so dull,
The very trigger dead,
Nothing more left to pull,
He stand on nails of bed,
For in vain search of his sweetheart!!!!

He stands all alone now,
The very meaning within erased,
Like an arrow depreived of its bow,
His very soul blazed,
For in vain search of his sweetheart!!!

A cluttered mind,
Thoroughly battered heart,
Nothing to un wind,
Her intent was clear to part,
For in vain search of his sweetheart!!!

A dream broken forever,
Thoughts in utter despair,
Were they never meant to be together????
A sight very rare,
For in vain search of his sweetheart,
In every sense they had meant to par!!

EACH NEW DAY A NEW WAY

Each new day when you arise, you know you have something to look forward. The bright day brings in new aspirations, new hopes & a whole new range. It feels beautiful to awaken to go for it.

But just imagine, just suppose, there is a break. A break in your each new day. Trust me things wouldn't seem the same. She just experienced a break like this for about a week. By God, life wouldn't have been more pathetic than this. Lying in bed the entire day, seilenly hoping that TOMORROW would definitely be a new day. All day long with nothing to do. Day would some how pass, but nights would seem the longest. Each second would seem an eternity.

The same plight of lying on bed for over a week, was a litlle too much to bear. Not able to walk, not able to sit, not able to do anything practically. How would life seem like???? No better then hell...

Finally after what seemed like a zillion years on bed, she was able to get up from bed. A second life was all she cpuld think of to thank her stars and God...

Each day is brilliant. We crib at times over monotonous rituals, each day we do the same and there is nothing new happening in life.

But have you ever pondered that this is what keeps us going... Just sit back a day or 2 breaking your monotonous life, trust me it will drive you crazy!!!

Indeed life is beautiful, make the most of it.....

CAT FIGHT OR

This is another fiasco of mine at work.....Obviously a Team Effort....

I have a colleague of mine, well not Ramya who is equally close to me... Now at her request, I will not name her.. But I fondly call her CAT... Yes, that is her name in office.... This cat and me usually have a nice, friendly fight all the time.. I mean its so much fun pulling her leg, just to see her cute reactions... It indeed is so cute, that Ramya and I all the time land up pullin' her leg.. (Actually hoping that she will grow atleast a few cms....).... But in vain.....

The other day as usual she and I were happily lost in fighting... She was telling me something so I was pulling her cheeks... ( Cats usually have adorable cheeks and this cat is no exception...I always pull her cheeks...)

It so happened that is was post lunch and I was near her cubicle... No one was around, so I was bending on her chair and pulling her cheeks.. It so happened that my hair had covered her face and mine....Now, now, now,,,, Hold it right there.... Before the minds start galloping like a race horse in a derby..... I was actually pulling her cheeks and she was telling me something...

Now to our utter shock, our manager walks past us.....OOPS!!!! This person always almost has a perfect timing... Actaully horrible timing... The places he doesn't need to be present, well he is VERY MUCH THERE....This time too he is there... Now, my poor cat got frightened.....It was a sight to see.....

He made a pass... But thank god not a nastly pass....It was a sweet remark...

We indeed were saved.....

WED CHAINED INDEED

Now this blog of mine is going to be one mind blowing piece... Why so??? You must move through it to know why....

I love M.G Road.. All my friends who know me, know that is my weekend hangout either with folks or friends.. I just love that place... Owe it to my school being so close that it has just become an inseparable part of my life... THE HEART OF THE CITY - M.G ROAD.....I love buying books in my favourite hangout, Blossoms.. Jewelry shopping especially JUNK... I'm a junkie when it comes to jewelry...

So this particular saturday also, I was hanging out in M.G, buying some crap or the other... I just bought a nice shell chain and was standing near Mota Royal Arcade with it....I was just giddling around with it...

I did the most absurd thing.. I just put up the chain in the air to see how it looks... as though I was going to garland my knight in shining armour, in the very lovable place of mine......But something more absurd happened... I was so lost lookin at my chain, that I didn't realise a neck had just passed into that chain.. OH MA GOD!!!!!

That was just so damn funny.... It was a sight to see... This guy who had almost got the chain round his neck was a cute lookin guy... I couldn't help but I burst out laughing.. All my friends started laughing... This guy was laughing.. The best part it was in the middle of the pavement and there was a nice circle of onlookers already formed around us... Man, I just couldn't stop giggling...

It was a rare sight to see..... To this day, I smile when I was Mota Royal Arcade......

Garland in my land.....

ROUTE TO THE CANAL

Root - Route Canal.... I'm not sure if most of you are familiar with this painful word... But i'm sure ons lucky lass to get acquainted with this very fortunate treatment way back in my class XII... Oh!! indeed lucky right?? Well, let me go ahead with that wonderful experience of mine...

Class XII, the most important year.. Turning point in one's life.. Indeed what a turning point in my tooth's life.. Turn, tossed & drilled around... Of course moulding required.. Not for me but for my tooth...

Now coming back to my poor, damaged tooth which needed a new shield... Why the shield was required??? Way back in class VI, my neighbour had opened the window on my face, when I was peering to see the new born baby in their house.. So, owing my shield tribute to her.....So here I was, much to my discomfort seated in front of my dentist with my mum beside me... Gosh !! How I hated being there... All those wierd instruments tossing & turning in my poor mouth which had to be open like a crocodile's mouth....Jeezzz.... People feel I have a big mouth, but my dentist agrees to disagree....Anyways, there I was half sleeping & opening my mouth to the utmost.... Elasticity test, trying to be successful...

After a long & horrendous half hour, my dentist's verdict was out... My tooth needed a R.C... I was wondering what on earth did this new acronym mean... With a little bit of racking, I figured it out... The most dreaded dental treatment of all times - ROOT CANAL urf R.C....Now I was in with great luck....

There started on with my treatment... Seemed endless...The awful drilling... Poor tooth.. The painful injections... Man, I almost touched the doors to HELL but was back because of its crowd....

Back to my amazing expedition... After all those horrid instruments poking my tooth, actually poor tooth, here I was thanking my mentor for her great deed.....

The most horrible part was yet to come... They place this horrible , awful, detesful thing in your mouth filled with a semi-solid green stuff... Oh God!!! Actually you find it difficult to breath also... That darned thing is used to take your teeth measurements....Man, where is TECHNOLOGY now?? Not applicable to the DENTAL INDUSTRY is it???

Then after the R.C is done, you realise, all that is left out is a wee-bit of your tooth/teeth reminants... For old times sake....Loveaduck!!! A brand new shining cap is fitted, making all the other teeth overflow with green jealousy.....Poor set... This brand new one, OUTSTANDING, by all means brims with happiness for a short while... Then its back to being in sync with the rest STANDING OUT.....After all that torture, finally, I had my new too tooth....

Not enough to experience this, I had 2 more done in my Engineering days......Those experiences were not the Fresher ones... So not required....

I stop at a cap now.... Caps are not required....

CLOUD OUTBURST

An evening to remember for life.....

24th Sept. 2009.... Now what is so special about this date.. My posting will give u a better picture about it.. THE BIG PICTURE!!!!

As usual I left office at 6 in the evening with my colleague... Got into a majestic bus & reached by 6:30 ....Wow nothin great at all...I just got into another bus and it started drizzling.. Drizzling only right... Now who on earth knew that this drizzle would not be a drizzle in a few minutes time...

I sat in the bus and plugged in my i - pod.... By then it had started a little more to pour.....I closed the window.... The bus started but never bothered moving an inch.... I took out a book to read but realised the light is so blinding that I didn't want to risk my eyes.. ( There was hardly any light in the bus... pun intended there.....)

I dozed off for a few splendid minutes... Opened my eyes to see I have hardly moved a few inches....I am still in majestic itself.... Now what the hell was happening.... By then the rain had started pouring away.... In a few minutes, the water would be seeping in.... Well, that is exactly the comfort of public transport.... Rain, won't go in vain...

I pulled a packet of something I had and ate that also... But still the bus was not even crawling a few cms....I again dozed off...After another few moments I opened ny eyes to see in a totally different route... Now panic is not in my blood.... I just poked this lass next to me and confirmed I'm in the right bus.... By then it was almost an hour and a half in the bus and I had not even covered quarter of my journey... It seemed endless today... I was beginning to get restles....

Obviously right??? Who wants to travel endlessly that too on a local tour which takes place everyday.....

By then my friends & parents had pressed on their panic buttons which indicates Me, and had frantically called me loads of times....I had patiently repeated the same place even after a long time.....

Now it was alreay 8:30 and God knows how long I was going to take before I reach home... I had reached lalbagh by then... N Oh My God!!!!!! It looked like a mega pool.... Flood looked too near now.....I was really agitated by now, but there was nothing much I could do...Just sat and waited....

Al last I reached Ashoka Pillar by 9:oo.... A solid three hours in the awful rain and pathetic bus.....

From ther reached home by 9:45 P:M.....

One helluva of a journey it was.....
