A Lovely Interview

I watched David Letterman's Interview with Shah Rukh Khan. And, I must say I absolutely loved it.

The ease with which he talks, his sense of humor and his punch lines. It's impressive. I have watched David Letterman's show and this one turned out to be my favorite.

The questions and the answers were so well articulated. If anyone wants to watch it, please do. It's worth a watch.

A Very Nice Interview

A few days back, my mum asked me to read the Interview of Gul Panag. So, I took the paper out and got some time out to read this.

A few things I loved what she said,

1. She switches off her data at 8 in the night and doesn't switch it on till 11 in the morning the next day.

2. She juggles so many roles efficiently.

3. She has a to-do list and meticulously allocates time to all the things she wants to finish.

4. Dedicates time for her little son.

5. She dedicates time to work out and remain fit.

I am so impressed. I actually believe that a to - do list helps. It is very essential to make time for everything that one wants to do.

Movie Review - Housefull 4

This weekend we went to watch - Housefull 4. The first choice was Saand Ki Ankh, but of course all the theaters wanted to show Housefull 4 in almost all the shows. So, the next reluctant choice - Housefull 4.

Three hours of pure torture and I cannot tell you how bored I got watching this movie. This movie revolves around 1419 and 2019 - 600 years apart.

The same people who were born in 1419, are in 2019 and whatnot. It was such a torture to see the same scenes getting replicated after 600 years.

The only saving grace to me was the song - Bala.

Handle one - Handle many

A few days I was part of a discussion at work related to personal life. Each of them were sharing their married life experiences and as usual I was just listening.

After a few mins my colleague (almost close one) looked and me said what she had told her hubby the previous night,

"You handle me in the relation and I will handle your relations in the family. You don't handle, your relations mean nothing to me."

This kind of opened my inner wife mode thoughts and was pondering over it. And the more I pondered, the more her statement made sense.

Come to think of it, it actually is true. Ponder!!

Sometimes - A Little Break Helps

I haven't blogged in a few days. Yes, sometimes a break helps. It refreshes your mind, freshens your thoughts and improves your perspectives. It gives me ideas to blog on because I had decided in the beginning of the year that I will blog every single day. So breaks like this helps.

In life too, it helps us to get a clear picture about things. A break relaxes our mind and helps us to unwind.

So, take a break and see the changes.

2. Glass of Buttermilk
3. Glass of Jeera water
4. Vitamins
5. A Fruit
6. Some Veggies
7. Egg White (1)
8. No Sugar
9. No Oil
10. 2 lts of Water

Track it consciously!

Take A Little Extra - It's Needed

How many of us volunteer to take up extra responsibilities? Be it at work, or at colleges or any other place of interest. Well, I am sure it is not all. A few of us like that extra on our plate, while a few feel extra is not needed.

But, the real deal in life, is to take that extra whenever an opportunity arises. Volunteer, add more responsibilities at work, take up a new challenge or be up for new learning. Whatever may be the new initiatives that one takes, keep adding. That little extra work we do is always essential and it takes one a long way in life.

Many of us hesitate looking at a half full plate and are petrified to add more responsibilities pondering about a lot of Why's. But every little bit that we do extra, it's always a progress and it notches up our learning or experience. And, either is always for our betterment.

So next time, just take that little extra - there is always room for it!

Bard of Blood

Last week I watched - Bard Of Blood. The whole series is of Seven Episodes. It stars Shobita Dhulipala and Emraan Haashmi in the lead with Jaideep's equal contribution.

It was a good watch and I enjoyed it. Spy agents travels through Baluchistan and the whole story is about things shape out from there.

Shobita, Emraan and Jaideep's acting is really amazing.

Marriage - Change or Not?

A lot of us always debate as to whether a marriage changes one or not. Here is my POV,

1. Have learnt to be more patient. (Yes, a big deal because I had zero patience.)
2. Much more calm in my head.
3. Have put a few filters before I shoot my mouth off.
4. Have learnt not to react and hence I try most times to respond. (The magic of 5 helps too.)
5. In the process of learning to speak softly as well.

These are conscious effort that are put to alter.

Now, it depends on perception. For me, it was a lovely alter. So, no two ways about it!

My Review - War

My movie buddy and me went out to watch a movie today after a long time. Either one of us have been busy and we haven't caught up in a while. Today we finally made it - WAR.

My intention in watching this movie was to drool over the two hot men. So as we sat watching the movie, I realized the emotion and the drama could be cut out a little as it wasn't essential in an action movie. Well, Hindi movie and of course it wouldn't be made without it.

I enjoyed the action, loved the Ghungroo Toot Gaye song. Not to mention loved Kabir and Khalid;s acting. But my fav - Kabir (Hrithik) won fair and square. It has some good twists and turns. But it has a little too much unwanted drama too. But if you dare to sit through it all, you won't be greatly disappointed to have sat through an almost 2.5 hours movie.

For all those who need some adrenalin rush, do watch this movie.

Rating: 3.5/5
Recommendation - Medium

A Stupendous Thought

Last week I was sitting and having lunch with a colleague. In general we were discussing about marriage and thereabouts. My colleague was reminded about something that her aunt mentioned a few months back. I found that to be profoundly wise. Hence, it became my topic to blog.

There are two kinds of men ,

The first that date around a lot. These are the men who have been trained by a few women and hence have become who they are. (Trained Men)

Now the second type of men are those that have fallen in love and married to the same woman. So the partner is the first one. Now it is upto the partner to train the man the way she likes. (Untrained Men)

Now it is upto the women, to decide what kind of men they want in their life, either marry the men who have been trained, who will be loving, romantic and all that one wants or marry the man for whom you are the first and hopefully he will be trained the way the woman wants.

Make a Choice and live with it!

Track My Reading Time

My Reading time has really slowed down and I must say I am feeling terrible about it. Last month was a disaster as I didn't read a single book and this month I haven't yet finished a book. My weekdays are so swamped that I barely manage reading 50 pages in 5 days.

So here is my plan that I devised to get my reading back on track,

1. 25 pages of Reading everyday.
2. Weekends 50 pages of reading.
3. Track my daily reading to ensure that I am on track.

With this I sincerely hope to get back to finishing a book every week.

Keep It Real

I have a simple Mantra in life - Keep it Real and I love by it. I just cannot fake and do things that I have no conviction in doing.

But in life we come across people who do it all for a show. There is neither anything true or anything of substance. Everything is a mere facade for them. The real joy in doing it with happiness and it shouldn't ever to be shown on Social Media. Digital world is not the actual world and one doesn't need a seal of approval from that place.

Be genuine. Show what is actual and real. Trust me, you will collect and treasure some real friends along the way. For what's it worth - Keep it Real always!

Is a Goal Always Necessary?

In my head, I set goals and I cross out each one that I achieve. Well, that's the way I work. For me, setting goals are very important as they help me organize things better. I cannot function without a goal. Period.

But, the question is - Are Goals Necessary? Well, for me, they are absolutely necessary. It's gives me a better perspective and each time I achieve it, I reward my self. Then, set another goal.

Here are my reasons,

1. Better Organization
2. More focused approach
3. Declutter thoughts
4. Clear Mind
5. Better time management

Well, try making goals and trust me, when you achieve it, it's a different ecstatic feeling altogether. Try it!
