ROUTE TO THE CANAL

Root - Route Canal.... I'm not sure if most of you are familiar with this painful word... But i'm sure ons lucky lass to get acquainted with this very fortunate treatment way back in my class XII... Oh!! indeed lucky right?? Well, let me go ahead with that wonderful experience of mine...

Class XII, the most important year.. Turning point in one's life.. Indeed what a turning point in my tooth's life.. Turn, tossed & drilled around... Of course moulding required.. Not for me but for my tooth...

Now coming back to my poor, damaged tooth which needed a new shield... Why the shield was required??? Way back in class VI, my neighbour had opened the window on my face, when I was peering to see the new born baby in their house.. So, owing my shield tribute to her.....So here I was, much to my discomfort seated in front of my dentist with my mum beside me... Gosh !! How I hated being there... All those wierd instruments tossing & turning in my poor mouth which had to be open like a crocodile's mouth....Jeezzz.... People feel I have a big mouth, but my dentist agrees to disagree....Anyways, there I was half sleeping & opening my mouth to the utmost.... Elasticity test, trying to be successful...

After a long & horrendous half hour, my dentist's verdict was out... My tooth needed a R.C... I was wondering what on earth did this new acronym mean... With a little bit of racking, I figured it out... The most dreaded dental treatment of all times - ROOT CANAL urf R.C....Now I was in with great luck....

There started on with my treatment... Seemed endless...The awful drilling... Poor tooth.. The painful injections... Man, I almost touched the doors to HELL but was back because of its crowd....

Back to my amazing expedition... After all those horrid instruments poking my tooth, actually poor tooth, here I was thanking my mentor for her great deed.....

The most horrible part was yet to come... They place this horrible , awful, detesful thing in your mouth filled with a semi-solid green stuff... Oh God!!! Actually you find it difficult to breath also... That darned thing is used to take your teeth measurements....Man, where is TECHNOLOGY now?? Not applicable to the DENTAL INDUSTRY is it???

Then after the R.C is done, you realise, all that is left out is a wee-bit of your tooth/teeth reminants... For old times sake....Loveaduck!!! A brand new shining cap is fitted, making all the other teeth overflow with green jealousy.....Poor set... This brand new one, OUTSTANDING, by all means brims with happiness for a short while... Then its back to being in sync with the rest STANDING OUT.....After all that torture, finally, I had my new too tooth....

Not enough to experience this, I had 2 more done in my Engineering days......Those experiences were not the Fresher ones... So not required....

I stop at a cap now.... Caps are not required....

CLOUD OUTBURST

An evening to remember for life.....

24th Sept. 2009.... Now what is so special about this date.. My posting will give u a better picture about it.. THE BIG PICTURE!!!!

As usual I left office at 6 in the evening with my colleague... Got into a majestic bus & reached by 6:30 ....Wow nothin great at all...I just got into another bus and it started drizzling.. Drizzling only right... Now who on earth knew that this drizzle would not be a drizzle in a few minutes time...

I sat in the bus and plugged in my i - pod.... By then it had started a little more to pour.....I closed the window.... The bus started but never bothered moving an inch.... I took out a book to read but realised the light is so blinding that I didn't want to risk my eyes.. ( There was hardly any light in the bus... pun intended there.....)

I dozed off for a few splendid minutes... Opened my eyes to see I have hardly moved a few inches....I am still in majestic itself.... Now what the hell was happening.... By then the rain had started pouring away.... In a few minutes, the water would be seeping in.... Well, that is exactly the comfort of public transport.... Rain, won't go in vain...

I pulled a packet of something I had and ate that also... But still the bus was not even crawling a few cms....I again dozed off...After another few moments I opened ny eyes to see in a totally different route... Now panic is not in my blood.... I just poked this lass next to me and confirmed I'm in the right bus.... By then it was almost an hour and a half in the bus and I had not even covered quarter of my journey... It seemed endless today... I was beginning to get restles....

Obviously right??? Who wants to travel endlessly that too on a local tour which takes place everyday.....

By then my friends & parents had pressed on their panic buttons which indicates Me, and had frantically called me loads of times....I had patiently repeated the same place even after a long time.....

Now it was alreay 8:30 and God knows how long I was going to take before I reach home... I had reached lalbagh by then... N Oh My God!!!!!! It looked like a mega pool.... Flood looked too near now.....I was really agitated by now, but there was nothing much I could do...Just sat and waited....

Al last I reached Ashoka Pillar by 9:oo.... A solid three hours in the awful rain and pathetic bus.....

From ther reached home by 9:45 P:M.....

One helluva of a journey it was.....

BUNKIN' BUMPKINS

Bunking classes.... To some students, its the strangest thing... something like an UFO.. What the hell does that mean??? I was one among them... Known for my cent percent attendance throughout my life in school & colleges....Let me tell you more about it...

So bunking classes in my school was a taboo... A big No - No.....I mean it could never happen....We were unknown of this word called "BUNK"....Finished my schooling and was pondering whether I should do my 11th & 12th or P.U.C.... My first option, obviously was +2.... But luck was elsewhere and I got the first taste of college life....

College, the coolest place to hang out... Fun, excitement, masti, dhamaal... UNLIMITED....

Its cool in college to bunk classes.. BUNK, becomes a very hip word and in the literal sense its HAPPENING.....Happening everywhere in the campus... A new buzz word with the new kids on the block...

Me, as I told you earlier, known for my cent percent attendance.. I used to get awards for that... Ok, a little extra bragging about my self, but its a done thing...Once in a while, chalta hai types....

Now I have never bunked a class in college too... My best friend and I were discussing this once..... I was telling her that I have never bunked a class and I want to see what bunking a class felt like actaully.....I had heard lots about this new fad in college and wanted to experience it myself....Here goes my mind blowing experience......

Saturdays, in my first year, we used to have only Hindi classes... Unlike school wherein my first language was by default English, here it was Hindi.... Two sections combined together would have Hindi classes... Sanskrit & Kannada were in demand obviously.....

So, one particular saturday , after a lot of internal debating, I decided I would bunk a Hindi class.. Yes, that is right.. ONE HINDI CLASS OF AN HOUR..... Now, for me that itself needing so much of debating....I told this great news to my best friend.... She looked at me, like I had lost my marbles... BUNKING and Me...Chanceless.. She gave me that i - know-you - too - well- to- bunk - a - class look... I told her we would... She was more than happy... We went to the canteen at 10:30 a:m to have breafast and decided we wouldn;t attend the 11:00 a:m to 12:oo noon class...

So we went and sat in the canteen... Man, I was jumping with my joy... Obviously, my first ever BUNK... I was in seventh heaven....It was 11:oo a:m and I saw guys tricking away to class.... I was happy.. My heart was beating away like it was on its last trip or something....After ten minutes had passed, I saw a couple of girls from my class come into the canteen... I was baffled... Why were they out of class too??? Curiosity to the core...Even these girls... Nothing new...

I walked upto them and asked if there was no class... Guess what I got to know...

My HINDI Prof has bunked college himself that day.. He was on leave...The VERY SAME DAY I HAD VENTURED OUT ON MY FIRST BUNK EVER.....WHY, WHY , WHY,,, WHY had he chosen the same day...I was utterly disappointed....To the core I must say... It meant so much to me to bunk a class, but guess it was never meant to happen.....
I knew I would never even try bunking after such a disastrous maiden venture......

What a way to BUNK a class???? Way to go gurl.....

P.S: I was never meant to bunk a class.....

CONFIDENCE UNLIMITED

This is another own experience of mine.. Man, I really have loads to fill my blog.....

I was in my XI Std. I'm sure you will all agree as to how it feels to be out of school and step into a brand new world called "COLLEGE"....The very word college for a X Std student brings in the following to look forward too,

a. FREEDOM FROM UNIFORM ( If its someone like me, then 3 different uniforms..)

b. No restrictions

c. BUNKING CLASSES

d. LINCENSE to a license

e. Brand new wardrobe

f. Pocket money

What not.. The list will be endless and I would have meandered away like a tiny bubbling brook...

Now coming back to my college life... Like everyone I was on cloud nine to step into this brilliant world.. I had a whole lot of friends but stuck close to one girl. She was my best friend....

I was from an all girls convent and entering into this strange world of mixed breeds was a little wierd in the beginning....There were a couple of them with whom we used to chat a little...

The fun in college is endless if you know how to enjoy...It differs from one individual to another....

There was this big time announcement in college... The most awaited of all times... ETHNIC DAY... A delight to all the girls and a feast to all the guys...I was excited too.... Only for the reason that I had draped a saree only once before in my fifteen years of life----SCHOOL GRADUATION CEREMONY.....This would be the second time....I was super excited... Now this excitement was cemented with a whole stack of problems... My mind started revolving like a turbulent sea....I was so lost in thinking that I didn't realise the dates had been changed already in a few minutes... Luckily our seniors announced again... This process of you schdeule - we reschedule between seniors and super seniors went on.. I kept a count till the dates changed four times, after that I lost pateince... Then it was confirmed that the coming saturday would be ETHNIC DAY..

What a relief... All the girls started deciding and you know the typical girly conversation went on and on and on....

Saturday - D Day arrived... I had thought of a simple voilet silk saree to drape... ( Cotton's pastrel shades were still afresh...) I got ready with lots of butterflies in my stomach...

Finally, I reached college.. Our college gate will be swarming with all the drones waiting for their bees and would be bees... And this day being SAREE DAY, I was a little baffled... The crwod seemed lesser than usual... Further down the corridor I realise nobody is wearing a SAREE..... Now what is happening... Which college have I entered.. Gates were correct... But why weren't they in a saree...

Look at my self confidence, I happily walked to my class, still sighted none in saree... This must be some kind of a bad joke... A real bad one... Anyways, I walked into class.... My class bustling with noise all the time seemed very serene.... I walked into class and there was pin drop silence...

All of thems tood up to wish GOOD MORNING MAA'M... By then, they realised its Me... Each one looking at me queerly.. I mean very obvious right... Me out of all the people walk into class that too draped in a saree... What a shock they were in for...

I pulled my best pal aside and asked her what was the matter... She told me that it had got cancelled last evening again...I was like dumbstruck out of embarrasment... But my friends very sweetly walked me down and accopanied me home to change... A sweet gesture that indeed was....

I decided never to drape a saree again in my 11th.....

P.S: I guess I didn't stick to it.. Confirmed it and draped it the next time....
What a laugh I have till date when I think of my adventures in college... Indeed hilarious....

YOU ARE NO WHERE!!!!

This blog of mine, will be the first of its kinds...... Yes, an unique post fro me.. Why?? It will be the first ever book review I will be posting...Not that it is my first ever book read or something.. (My previous blog on books will suffice....)

This was one those rare Indian author's book I had picked up sometime last week...
YOU ARE HERE is the name of that WONDER... Ful book I read... Now what was this author thinking when she wrote this book, NO - ONE knows I guess....I'm sure even she doesn't... Lame ain't the word to describe it....

This book revolves around the life of a girl called ARSHI....Well, this girl has all the so - called GOOD OLE HABITS under the sun...She works as a P.R in a firm and lives with her flat mate TAPSY, who is actually trying hard to study something....

This ARSHI does whatever is a TABOO in the INDIAN FAMILIES... Anyways, this lass is an excessive drinker... I guess water is replaceable, whoever says it is becoming scarce...
God knows what the author has described ARSHI's life in the book to be... All she does is party, party, and more party.. YEH DIL MAANGE PARTY HAR WAQT, BEY - WAQT types...Then he goes club hopping, pub hopping, keeps falling in and out of love of lust whatever, smokes like a chimney, boozes till she get sloshed out... Gets laid a whole lot of times...More of it which I wouldn’t want to post in my blog at least.......Now, this is LIFE....Lady wake up, What ever were you thinking of messing your own life to his great extent.. Not cool at all....Sometime she goes clubbing with another bimbo who snorts and peacefully pukes to wake up days later in a hospital.... This bimbo has hots for a guy, who can't care less for her... Arshi runs around in vain behind KABIR, her new found love interest....But no point.. Tries hard and finally manages to get her feet off the ground too.....

Then there is wedding hungama of a gurl called DEEKSHA, arshi's school mate... Getting married to a Canadian guy called JEAN - LUC....

In the end, mum wins as Arshi decides to go to U.S.A to do her M.S and her flat mate moves back to Meerut, but she makes up her mind to get her feet off the ground with her guy, FARHAN before anything else happens.....What a noble deed right??? You bet, one life, lead it this way..

Now tell me if this book has anywhere to go!!!! Keep pondering.. Grey cells need to rigorously work out at times!!!

P.S: Avoidable book.....Take a turn and go back....

NO - SENSE

THREE - Now what all comes into a mind when you think of it... A mere number which has a value when prefixed with zero...Now tell me who the hell would think of this number as a title to a movie....Yes, movie, which I happened to watch some freaky weekend... And we had traversed half of Bangalore to go watch it.. I mean desperate times, deperate measures...

Anyways, to our utter shock, we realised there were only THREE COUPLES WATCHING THREE... And our gang.. Man hardly 8 0r 9 people in the theatre... What an absolutely amazing feeling... It indeed is... I mean you feel so good ....I guess once in a while people should watch crap in almost empty theatres......

Now without much ado, let me continue about the movie I watched, theatre later.....

THREE, as the name suggests involves THREE people....Man, what were they thinking when they wrote this movie... Its just not sold...FREE, FREE, FREE.. also goes unheard.....Yes that is right... UNHEARD...

Three people, trying to kill each other.. Awesome plot...The leading lady and her beau live in a splendid bungalow types abroad... Then decide to rent it out to a bachelor.. Then this guy backmails the lady and tries to kill her.. She realised its her beau's plan to croak her and there she gets smart..Eventually kills her hubby... And then she runs up home while he is disposing off the body, informs the police that someone has killed him, and hurts her self like hell... Bangs her head to the wall and keeps the receiver dangling down...The cops arrest the blackmailer and off he goes to cool his heels...

This chik behaves as if nothin has ever happened and starts with her violin teaching again..

This cop comes to her and tells her she knows that the murder has taken place at a different timing and not the one informed..

Well what do you think should happen??

Killer is left scot - free to continue violin classes & the proof is torn

AWESOME movie....I loved it...THREE....I guess brain dead moment, this story was written...

THREE NEVER EVER......

D' ART UNKNOWN

The topic seems a little abstract right??? Well, may be....But read on to know more and clarify it too...

Tringggggggggggggggggg......Bleeeppppppppppppppppppppppp........Thadaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....

I mean what not....These are some of the hideous ring tones I get to listen to...Oh My GOd!!!!! Did I just say hideous.... Understatement..... They are awful, detestable, loathsome.....

Technology is indeed a boon... At times a bane....Cell Phones!!!!! Buzz word from the last 5 - 6 years but gaining high level market in the last 2 - 3 years.... Every Tom, Dick & Harry possess one... And the tones their phone rings in , is grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....Nerve racking.....Especially, Hello,,, Hello,,,, And then a few more crappy words come out.. I mean for crying out loud, a Hello at the top of your voice even before you call..... Man, utter nuisance... ( A few turkeys in my office too, have this MIND BLOWING ring tone...)

Anyways, boon or bane discussion later on.. Let me stop meandering like a lost brook......

My phone as a rule is never in the loud mode from the day I have come to possess this awesome little pocket sized, at times nuisance.... Never ever....I just hate it... So what if my phone is silent, unfortunately the phone possesser isn't... So there goes!!!!!

When I get a call, OH MY GOD!!!!!! My voice can never ever be low.. You guys got it right... I am not one of those SOFT SPOKEN GURLS at all.. Either ways, very true..... But it is not meant to be deciphered that I scream to the top of my voice... Irrespective of knowing the Decibel level.....

I try hard to whisper, but either that other person is so tuned to my voice that they won't understand...or I land up going back to my own pitch....Old habits die hard types... Right???

Now what actually this entire preamble is leading to is a very nice incident I came across just last evening....

I got into my second bus well within 6:30 P:M yesterday, one of those really lucky times.....I was busy reading a book... There is this lass who gets into the bus 3 mins later... She sits next to me... I saw she had plugged in her ear phone... Well, what is so umcommon... (Now let me tell you one more thing about cell phones... MUSIC, by default a major bless... Unless its not for public entertainment....But there will be a few who love to entertain the rest...SOCIAL SERVICE TO THE MANKIND... MAN.. KIND.. Now the MAN part is comprehended, but KIND... UNKIND at times.....)...

Now, this girl sat and I went back to reading my book...After sometime I got a call, spoke and hung up.. Now let's not discuss the pitch....Then I just turned to see the girl next to me... PHEW!!!!!! I would have died out a major cardiac arrest.. Yes, you got it write, no more blogs, motivations, entertainment from me.. What a loss.....Well, to my utter astonishment, I realise that this girl has been yanking on the phone from the time she has got into the bus....My GOD!!!! And the best part is I, sitting right next to her haven't got a single word to listen too.. Yes, not even an alphabet....

I was so stunned that I am pondering even now as to how a few poeple are blessed with this wonderful talent of 'SPEAKING SOFTLY', which I so far am UNKNOWN OF....

Hats off to this girl... If I ever meet again, I will for sure post a blog on the tips of SPEAKING SOFTLY... Now not related to SOFT SKILLS at all...

Watch out this space till then folks!!!!!

MOTIVE.... NATION......

NOW, NOW, NOW.....MOTIVATION, typically H.R terminology....Well, I still go on with it...

Motivation is a big push in life... It is needed at so many levels in an individual.... Don't you think so....Or is there someone who agrees to disagree... ( If so, go take a hike..)

Coming back, every small thing needs a lillte bit of that extra push at times, either an external force or an internal drive that emerges strongly that the gates flood open...

Now was that too much....Wasn't it??? ( What bro???? Wadya say???)....

Lets take the dreaded Class X Board Exams... Now who says motivation is not required to take you through a good grade.....Right???

Or say Class XII exams.....That great MOTIVATION may lead one to the IIT's...Most prestigious colleges.....

Well, I should say I am pretty good at motivating people...

Let me proudly justify my above statement..

Just three days back, my best friend, who got married last year, came to me... Of course, she has too....We stuck from the last ten years.....Now let me tell you further..

She has one helluva of a time in a day... Trying hard to balance both professional as well as personal fronts... ( I am sure, she will strike a cordial balance soon....)

She used to cook earlier, waking up at 4 in the morning...Pack and leave to work...

These days she is finding hard to do that... So that poor girl is having food at work.. Well, cant't eat put daily right??? I mean I cant' at all...

So she pings me and asked me what to do... Me being Me... Went on to give her all the advice possible...

Imagine the mind blowing results... This lass has started waking up early again in the morning and started cookin and packing in time......

So what more do I say???? My Motivation WORKS.... Right Gurl???

Gurl... I'm sure your reward is on the way.....Go girl go.....

P.S: Sharp motivating skills .....Motivating is done absolutely free of cost!!!!!!

JUST A SMILE AWAY

AS IT IS SAID, " A SMILE CAN PUT ALL THINGS STRAIGHT".....or " A smile confuses an approaching frown".....

Anyways let me spin my tale on a SMILE....

Each day, as I've mentioned in my earlier blog, I try hard to leave home at 8:30 a:m.... Yes, you got it right, try hard.....

Anyways I leave home at about 8:30 a:m, hurriedly rushing towards the stop to catch a bus... ( At times, I'll be lucky if I don get a Volvo.....Obviously saves me the cost apart from my bus pass cost, OVERHEADS saved....)

I usually will be reading my bro's msgs which he would have left loads for me to read and MISS him more...:) or I will be listening to music....or Messaging of course!!! ( How could I miss that essential part of my life.....)

After a walk a few seconds from my house, I see this girl walking in the opposite direction towards me... She has the usual way of walking, with her hands folded. come rain, sunshine etc, this girl never wears a Cardigan.. Never ever....I call this girl my INDICATOR!!!!!

Yes Indicator, because when I see her I know I'm early... And I secretlt praise myself( Well done babe!!!!) Yeah, yeah , yeah , for those of you smirking, it ain't a great achievement, but for me it is.......

This Indicator , as I said earlier, walks in the opposite direction. Initially, we used to just see each other and pass off... Nothing more, nothing less.....As the days passed, I guess my face kinda got familiar to her.... Then she used to see me and I used to see her, and pass on....

Nowadays, yes nowadays, it is so happening that we both smile at each other when we pass....SMILE , yes a smile...Doesn't cost anything you see.....Let's see when we talk to each other....
It actually feels nice to get a warm smile from an unknwon acquaintance on your way to work.....
Way to go my Indicator!!!!!!

As of now this is my SMILING PAL who is 'Just smile away'!!!!!! ( And according to my Bro, Just A Smile Away, becomes Just a Mile Away!!!!)......

ALL IN AN EVENING

PART III

MY CONCLUDING PART...WILL KEEP IT SIMPLE & SWEET & SHORT..

6:05 p:m : Rushing towards the bus stop, tugging my Ramya along... Wishing we get an empty bus to sit and go..

6:10 p:m : Shit, that bus was so damn empty, why the hell didn't that guy stop... God, we have wait now.. Usual ramblings.....

6:15 p:m : The sight of an empty bus is like an Oasis in the Desert.....

6:30 p:m : Chuggs along to reach majestic...Man what an unwelcoming sight....Ghastly...

6:42 p:m : Standing and cribbing away to glory... Obviously no bus...

7:45 p:m : Finally reach the destination from where my mum picks me up//

7:50 p:m : See my book guy is there, if yes, pick up a few books and reach back home...

Rest I need not go on.. Not required to know everything..

That is it for now....
